Abstract:It is well known that time is used, experienced and scheduled very differently in some cultures versus others. On strategic level, one may ask why some strategic planning does not recognize the differences in time cultures in the increasingly global economy. The article discusses and develops the concept of time processing and later the Time Processing Matrix (TPM) as a tool for strategic managers. There are four major components of processing, that is, cyclical, procedural, linear and segmented time. In the article, the time processing as a managerial tool with some applications / examples is also dealt with.
