Abstract: | How often have you sat in a meeting feeling that time is being wasted? Aware of the impact of such inefficiency on organizations, Meredith Belbin has been looking at how managers can ensure that every meeting is a winner. The Inuit Eskimos are reputed to have 22 different words for snow, while Gaelic speakers can choose 17 words for mist. How many words can be used to describe a meeting? Meeting is an indefinite word that could signify a gathering of any number of people, spontaneous or planned, formal or informal. |
