Abstract: | The approach taken by British companies to resolving conflict between employees mirrors the adversarial nature of the legal system. But, as Carl Renolds explains, there is a more sophisticated, yet less formal, alternative. mediation is a concept whose time has come. The past decade has seen mediation services being set up throughout the country to deal with community, commercial and family disputes. The Wolff report into the legal system made wide-ranging recommendations for the extention of mediation into other areas of law. |
