| Abstract: | The hierarchical technical organization of the past is giving way to the immediate technical needs of the individual business units. As business teams become the dominant structure in today's corporation, management must have a strategy to maintain the technical excellence inherent in the former technology organization. Although the importance of these values may not be immediately apparent to the non-technical leadership of the specific business groups, there could be serious long-term consequences should these values be comprised. |
