| Abstract: | In the 21st century, what we will have to face will be intercontineutal economy besides the national economy. Changjiang Delta which has been developed for a long time in China's history perform the great function in the new turning period of world economy. Shanghai should become an economic centre in East Asia. To adapt to the future comprehensive changes, China should quicken its pace of development. It should have at least a deep-water harbor with over 200,000 ton class docks. The established one with a considerable scale is Beilun port in Ningpo city. With such a contacting point, China can be integrated into the inter-continental economy. |
