| Abstract: | In general, our data industry is still an infant in terms of development, not well-matched at all with the Three Golden Projects and the all-round national economy informationalization greatly propelled by the state. To develop the national database industry, the very first large-sized data firm--Beicheng Data Industry Corp. Has been established with a yearly design capacity of 10 GB database. Some key database projects including 50-year full text data CD of People's Daily, China grand encyclopaedia CD, information and data CD of China organization and enterprises and China Statute Book. It's been estimated that the annual output of China data industry would reach tens of billions RMB. |
