Abstract: | Comparative Institutional Analysis, or CIA is a new field of economics that explains how private-sector coordination and institutions develop in a unique way in each country in order to adapt to socio-economic changes. The authors introduce the basic ideas of CIA and consider its relevance to current economic issues.
