| Abstract: | The traditional indicators of economic growth can not reflect the impact of differences in quality on the rate of economic growth, thus leading to a puzzle about economic growth. Value-added growth rate, however, can reflect the actual effort of one nation's economic growth. So we should attach importance to this indicator in the international comparison of economic growth, When appraising one nation's economic growth, we should pay attention not only to the increase in quantity but to the improvement of quality, not only to the analysis of the actual growth rate but to that of value-added growth rate. The quality of products has played an extremely important role in economic growth. |
