| Abstract: | The regular reports section contains an article by Charles Jenkins about a wider role for an enlarged European Union, chapters about Internal market and sectoral issues, Competition policy, External relations, Environmental report. Special reports are: Consumer and the euro, in which it is stated that the new single currency is likely to change consumer behaviour in many ways, and Silhouette, trademarks and international exhaustion by Alan Riley, where he states that in the wake of a controversial ruling by the European Court of Justice, there are demands to open the EU's borders to parallel imports, but the arguments are finely balanced. In the reference sections it is stated that business has a big stake in institutional reform, especially with enlargement on the horizon. In the end there is a capsule guide to EU institutioins, policymaking and legislative procedures. |
