Abstract:Performance management (PM) is a strategic HRM process that enables the MNC to continually evaluate and improve individual, subsidiary unit, and corporate performance against clearly defined, preset objectives that are directly linked to company strategy. The study addresses the following questions: 1) does PM affect the job satisfaction of host-country employees in MNC subsidiaries located in diverse cultures? 2) how does national culture explain differences in relationship between PM and job satisfaction in MNC subsidiaries located in diverse cultures?
