| Abstract: | When one goes beyond detailed and sharply defined questions in the complex dynamic networks of human and social sciences (politics, economics, cultural studies, etc.) and tries to explain comprehensive and longer-term trends, description and analysis necessarily become somewhat vague and undecided. Choice of assumptions and alternative interpretations leave room for several 'stories' which cannot be easily separated into 'true' and 'false' products. |
