| Abstract: | The CMS Program operates through a network of interest groups and project teams composed of thought leaders from industry, government agencies, consultancies, vendors, and academics from within the sponsor base who share an interest in finding solutions to common problems. For the last 15 years, the Cost Management Systems Program at CAM-I has worked to help companies improve their strategic cost management systems; this work continues today. Various industry models have been developed, including ABCM, life cycle management, performance management, asset management, process management, among others. This article briefly reports on the current areas of research activity in the interest groups and project teams of the CAM-I Cost Management Systems Program. |
