Abstract: | The manner in which a business strategy was formulated 5 or 10 years ago, no longer applies. To a great extent, this phenomenon can be attributed to a shift in the strategic (henceforth as: str.) importance of information and knowledge. This paper aims to supply str. thinkers with a holistic "bird's eye view" of the interdependency btw. str. management and str.knowledge management (or KM). By analyzing the different perspectives with regard to strategy formulation (here as: str-form.) from a business point of view, as well as a KM perspective. A generic model incorporating KM str-form. is developed within business str-form. |
