Abstract: | This paper discusses the adoption decision of Internet-based interorganizational information systems (IBIS). The findings of a field-based survey suggest that the factors that remarkably affect the adoption decision are pressures felt from trading partners and competitors, establishing cost, network reliability, data security, scalability, complexity, support from top management, and trust on the adoption decision. The similarities and differences of IBIS and Electronic data interchange (EDI) are also presented. |
