| Abstract: | This study takes a look at the empirical evidence of hotel activity for the innovation process for hotels in Balearic Islands, Spain, to understand the characteristics and determinants of the managers innovation decisions. The evidents from the study disclose among others that higher-categories hotels are more innovative than lower-categories hotels, the innovation rate overcomes average for hotels that belong to chain and hotels under management contract and almost 50 % of innovative companies adjust the human capital skills and abilities. |
