| Abstract: | In this study annual house price indices for four Norwegian cities from the 19th century to 1989 are presented. Findings show that indices appear to fit in well with historical events and available indicators of the Norwegian economy and that the trend in the nominal house prices is upward sloping over the two centuries. |
