| Abstract: | This paper introduces a model of online tourist search and examines the micro-level process of vacation planning on the Internet drawing upon literature in tourism, consumer behaviour and information science. The findings suggest that the planning process can be deconstructed into a series of episodes and chapters reflecting the specific problem being addressed. Also, the languages that the tourists use differ significantly from those found on vacation planning websites. The article concludes by discussing theoretical contributions and practical implications. |
