| Abstract: | This article presents three principles which according to the authors are necessary to be taken account when assessing the social responsibilities of international business firms in developing areas. Principles include awareness of the historical and institutional dynamics of local communities, open communication with local constituencies and ensuring that firm's operations safeguard the sustainability of social and economic assets of local communities. |
