| Abstract: | In this article the author discusses the extent to which the development of the European Union has opened up the possibilities of a European public sphere and a new cosmopolitanism. The study is conducted in a conceptual style and the author discusses the topic with the help of previous literature related to the topic. The author suggests that the development of a European public sphere is in the end based in the interaction between EU institutions and the transnational networks. |
