Abstract:The article looks at the impact of the sense of smell as a part of the service environment. Some hotels have used fragrances to create their brand image and the findings support the potential of scent in the hospitality industry. In this article, the authors used exploratory study to test to ambient factors and their effects on individuals' responses and interaction between people within a meeting room. The findings of this study reveal positive association between an ambient scent and the social interaction.
