Abstract:In this study, the author focused on alone travelling women's experiences to gain a better understanding about the gendered characteristics related to tourism. The purpose of the study was to identify factors related to participants' interaction with tourism professionals and other tourists as well as travel motivation aspects. The analyzed data was collected from semi-structured interviews with 39 British women travelers from different backgrounds. According to the findings, the other people have an important role in the single women tourists' opinion forming processes.
