Abstract: | This paper presents evidence of performance persistence (here as: p.) in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs (here as: e-pnrs.) with a track record of success are shown to succeed much more likely than first-time e-pnrs. and those having previously failed. Particularly, they exhibit p. in selecting the right industry and time to start new ventures. E-pnrs. with shown market timing skill are also more likely to outperform industry peers in their subsequent ventures. |
