Abstract:A model of pseudo-transformational (henceforth as: ps-trs.) leadership (here as: l-ship) is developed and tested. Ps-trs. l-ship is manifested by a particular combination of trs. l-ship behaviours, being differentiated from both trs. l-ship and laissez-faire (non)-l-ship. Survey data from senior managers (N=611) show differential outcomes of trs., ps-trs., and laissez-faire l-ship. Provided are possible extensions of the theoretical model and directions for future research.
