Abstract: | This paper examines the relative importance that firm resources and firm location in a specific destination in explaining firm performance in the Spanish hotel industry. The study uses hierarchical linear models (HLM) and a multilevel approach. The results reveal that both effects largely influence firm performance. In addition, it is found that firm effect is more important than the destination effect. |
