Abstract:The Swiss Rail Company faces now a declining market situation. Market structure is changing rapidly. The company faces a fall in prices and a loss in market share. The task is now to adapt to the new market requirements and to redefine the sphere of activity of the whole company. New and temporary staff of marketing experts was created to bring the philosophy of marketing into the company. New price policy has to be more simple and easy to survey for the customers. Distribution policy has to find new channels of selling, it has to come out from the stations.
