| Abstract: | A review of the possibilities and problems offered by decision support systems and their introduction into the decision making process. The analysis covers how this depends on culture and organisation as much as on computer technology, and how support environments across many different industry sectors indicate the benefits and drawbacks that await organisations that adopt a "decision support" environment. It is emphasized that computer technology is only half the solution to the successful decision support environment. |
