Abstract:Adopting planned administrative economy the European socialist countries, owing to their sociocultural characteristics, have chosen different ways to find an appropriate relation between the State and the enterprises. Yugoslavia, Hungary and Poland build, each one in their own manner, the model of socialism, simplifying planning and introducing different mechanisms to stimulate the efficiency of the means of production. Developing its autonomous management approach, Yugoslavia replaced administrative distribution of resources by market mechanism. In spite of the differences, these countries have one point in common: material stimulation of the labour force is considered everywhere essential.
