| Abstract: | Contrary to Taylor who tried to optimize the performance of the individual worker, Adamiecki analyzed the productivity of work groups. He did not restrict his investigations on the shop floor but showed that his general findings are also applicable to administrative work. Adamiecki emphasized two principles of productive work division of labor and coordination of the specialized tasks. There is no question but that Adamiecki ranks with Taylor, Fayol and Le Chatelier as one of the most original and important forefathers of scientific management. |
