| Abstract: | Review of the effects of tax changes on the number of strikes in the UK, Australia and the USA, and the evidence that tax progressivity: the difference between the marginal and average rates applicable to the average wage-earner, affected post-World War II strike rates, but no tax-strike relationship in the USA. A Table estimates the strike-tax coefficients and variable means in the three countries. |
