Abstract:A management method designated as "Quality Circles" and installed at the basic level of the human resources of an enterprise has been generalized in Japan. A few French enterprises have started to experiment with the method, but most of them are reluctant to use such a management system. The potential ways and means of transferring the Quality Circles to France is discussed. It is intended to relate the phenomenon of the Quality Circles with the momentum of a Japanese industry's organization. The development of the method in a Japanese enterprise is described. The early features are summarized seeking to grasp the causes behind the success of the method in Japan.
