Abstract:Technology and processing systems are more and more sophisticated: the computerized firm has become very dependent on its informative resources and therefore quite vulnerable. Fraud can affect the firm in two ways: the misappropriation of funds and the sabotage of the firm's own functioning, by misleading the managers and/or the executives. Total security is a myth. However methods and techniques presented make it possible to reduce the risk of fraud to an acceptable degree. Security must be considered at all levels of analysis and conception of a computing system: conceptual and functional analysis and technical conception as well. The defence strategy is linked to a double checking: man and machine.
