Abstract: | The author asks for a deepening of the level of debate about management competencies. She examines and reflects on the possible definitions of the term "competence" and thus the emphasis is shifted from concepts such as "adequacy" "fitness" or "excellence", and managers are asked to reflect on their own values and integrity. |
