Abstract: | A well-defined self-portrait, determined by means of three dimensions - customer, customer benefit and technology - constitutes the basis for improving a company's market position and competitiveness. Particularly, with the continuously increasing internationalization of business activities, this problem has to be mastered. For the purposes of self-assessment a clearly defined methodology is offered. It is shown how information gathered from the analysis of markets and customers can be used for improving a company's competitiveness. The normative character of the newly defined corporate image is emphasized. Its application to strategic planning, controlling, public relations etc. is explored. |
