| Abstract: | Drop-out of answers in consecutive waves is a major problem of panel investigations. The article quantifies the effect of different factors on drop-out of answers in the second and third waves of the FRG socio-economic panel investigation. The methods used are CHAID analysis and logic estimation. The factors considered are: death, split-up or removal of families, age, income, gender, durability of contact, change of interviewer etc. |
