Abstract: | Mezzanine debt applies to a loan made without traditional security. Generally, it involves an unsecured debt or junior debt that is subordinate to a more traditional loan often known as senior debt. Mezzanine debt as a source of capital presents a wide latitude of financial structuring opportunities. Various mezzanine lenders have different investment parameters and policies. As a result, borrowers have an opportunity to be creative in structuring new ventures. |
