Abstract:As a rule, middle management is responsible for the short term success of the company. Its main task is seen in the transformation of strategic objectives into tactical and/or operative plans. The levels of management are characterized by their special functions within the system of management. The traditional view of the role of middle management has been submitted to the "expert model" of managerial control, focusing on the transformation of plans and decisions into action by a series of commands. The future-oriented view of middle management is based on the "participatory model" of control, assigning the role of organization and management of problem solving in groups and participatory decision making.
