| Abstract: | There is a growing interest for hybrid satellites which offer both C-band and Ku-band operations. This system facilitates communication within a country. Telesat Canada ordered two hybrid satellites from Spar Aerospace: Anik E1 and E2. This family has been improved significantly compared to the previous generation: Its orbit life will be more reliable by the software control of Spar. Anik E1 and E2 will be launched in 1990 and start services after the testing months. |
