| Abstract: | Eastern Europe's first manufacturing plant shares a site with Czechoslovakia's only vinyl pressing plant. Full-scale production is due to begin later in 1988 with a capacity of 5 million units yearly. They bought the license from Swiss firm ICM. As CD players are not widespread in in this country, most products will be exported in the U.S.,W.Germany, and Japan. Most CD issues planned for this year are classical music. |
