Abstract:Virgin and Chrysalis, the U.K.'s largest independent distributors may revert to private ownership after short, unlucky stock market performances. The cost of running U.S. music business may account for this failure.Besides, Virgin has costly investments in the European satellite service. Virgin's Branson is considering a management buyout to take the company private again. Though there is no final decision Chrysalis will follow Branson's example.
