| Abstract: | To meet the challenge of recruiting and retaining the best employees in an evershrinking work force, TRW's Space and Defense sector has established a strategy of offering such programs as career and personal development and individualized benefits packages to make it a preferred employer. Since 1978, TRW has practiced a flextime policy that allows workers to vary their work schedules to fit personal preferences. During the next several years, management development efforts will focus on how managers must empower and inform employees to maximize their involvement with the organization's success. |
