| Abstract: | The paper attempts to examine potential economic implications of the desire for fairness in insider trading. It is shown that the common understanding is rather shaky and any assessment of the impact of regulations is ambiguous. The paper highlights the relevant issues in any evaluation. Practical and theoretical analyses are used together. |
