Abstract:China's position and activities in the world market and world service are briefly summarized. Possible attitudes towards service negotiations are highlighted based on an analysis of China's pros and cons. China's possible attitude towards the service negotiations is discussed. The acceptance of the Framework Agreement will not necessarily bring substantial gains to China but it will cause some losses by nonacceptance. China's domestic laws are evaluated and as they are inconsistent with the current Draft of the Framework Agreement, possible solutions are offered. China is advised to join the service agreement and to adjust its domestic laws to harmonize with the provisions of the Draft.
