| Abstract: | As early as the late 1970s when China began to carry out reform and opening up , the infiltration of high tech into industries was conceived, but it started with "863" and Torch Programs in the middle of 1980s. In Sept. 1985, "China High-Tech Pioneering Investment Corporation", the first national financial institution specializing in risk investment in China's mainland was established. By the end of 1990, this corporation had a total of 1.4 billion yuan in assets. Afterwards, this kind of corporations were also set up in some areas. But they are still in the infant development stage at present. |
