Abstract:The function of the merger of exchange rates in promoting exports and restricting imports can not be over estimated. Because of the present value of four kinds of price elasticities in China, either the merger of exchange rates or adjusting the supply-demand relationship of adjusting the through other levers to make RMB devalued can not get desirable results in making the payment of China's foreign trade take a turn for the better. So we should take a cautions attitude towards the 1994's foreign trade situation's taking a turn for the better.
