Abstract: | The universalization rate of telephones is an important indicator measuring the level of development of communications of a nation or region at present and even in a long period of time to come. It has three meanings, starting from various angles: the universalization rate of the main line (line/per hundred people), that of telephone sets (set/per hundred people), and that of the telephone exchanges (set/per hundred people). The main factors affecting telephone development are the relations between per capita GDP and the population as well as the number of households. |
