Abstract:The purpose of this article is to investigate how the perceptions of job insecurity and fairness relate to individual well-being and organizational attitudes. Findings based on a sample of Belgian employees supported hypotheses for organizational results. It is concluded that employees' perceptions of job insecurity and fairness are important factors in well-being of the employees and their attitudes towards the organization. In addition, these conceptions can be partly shaped for example by managers and supervisors. Furthermore, the active utilization of the psychological contract in management strategies seems to have favorable outcomes for the promoting of pro-organizational attitudes among employees.
