| Abstract: | The findings of a survey of the application of operational research management services (OR/MS) in commercial and service organizations in Hong Kong. The aims of the survey were to explore the scope and the specific areas of application, to ascertain the background and organizational placement of the practitioners, and to identify the environment in which OR/MS applications can succeed. Opinions held of OR/MS practitioners by the end user were also surveyed. The use of OR/MS is developing well along the model of an analyst-client relationships. |
