| Abstract: | Two widespread economic superstitions are dispelled - the belief in an inherent equilibrium of the economic system, and the perception of international trade as a zero-sum game. It is argued that morphogenetic casual loops disprove the first assumption, and should be used to aid policy making; and that positive-sum results could be obtained by lifting import restrictions and adapting products for foreign markets. |
