Abstract: | One of the major success for British Phonographic Industry organisation's anti-piracy unit is the arrest of Julien Harper, who ran the biggest U.K. pop piracy operation to date. It was estimated that 9 out of 10 top-selling cassettes were forgeries. Harper's equipment can produce 20 tapes every 14 seconds. A distribution network circulated and sold the illegal tapes. Harper is sentenced to 15 month jail. |
