| Abstract: | The today's management is challenged by the rapid technological progress and the aggressive competitors. Quick and well-grounded decision making is of vital importance. The role of the modern information technology and up-to-date software products is emphasized. It is shown how a Decision Support System can help in managerial problem solving and decision making. The fundamentals of business planning are described. A case example is presented. Lessons from a number of practical applications are summarized. The main components of a business planning system are sketched. |
